This month I would like to start with a poem my Nephew (DaddyLoved), excuse me.....HIS WIFE (I'll have a picture of her up on this page in a few) wrote. You may contact him/her with your thoughts. I'm a little concerned with this picture.....yes! the boy (and his wife!) can not only can write poetry but he also has a crazy sense of humor!

The `REAL` Strength of a Man

This poem shall exist on this page throughout the months of August 2000 and then until the end of September 2000.

The strength of a man isn't seen in the width of his shoulders.

Its seen in the width of his arms that circle you.

The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice.

It is in the gentle words he whispers.

The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.

Its how good a buddy he is with his or your children.

The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work.

Its in how he is respected at home.

The strength of a man isn't in how hard he hits.

Its in how tender he touches.

The strength of a man isn't in the hair on his chest.

Its in his heart... that lies within his chest.

The strength of a man isn't in how many women Hess loved.

Its in how true he can be to the ONE woman Hess trying to love.

The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift.

Its in the burdens he can carry.

The strength of a man isn't in how much food he eats from your

table.

Its in the effort he puts forth when you are unable.

The strength of a man isn't in how he makes love.

Its in the understanding that there is more to making

love......

than making love.
